Privacy Policy
1. The software
Chop Machine processes audio locally on your computer. It does not send your audio, your projects, your samples, or any usage or analytics data to us or to any third party. License activation is performed offline using a product key stored on your device: no account, login, or internet connection is required to use the software.
Your license key includes the name and email address associated with your purchase, so the
software can personalize your copy; these appear on the in-app About screen.
This information is stored locally on your device as part of your activation and
is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and it is not included
in the patch files (.chop) or project state you save or share. (Because your email is
shown on the About screen, take care when sharing screenshots of it.)
2. Purchases
When you buy Chop Machine, the transaction is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller and processes your payment. Lemon Squeezy collects the information needed to complete the sale (such as your name, email address, billing details, and payment information) under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
From a completed order we receive limited information, typically your name, email address, and license details, which we use to deliver your license key, provide customer support, and send you essential information about your purchase (for example, important updates or security notices about the product).
3. Demo keys and support
A free 5-day demo key is requested through Lemon Squeezy in the same way as a purchase, except that there is nothing to pay and only your email address is asked for. The key is issued and emailed to you automatically, and we receive the same limited order information described in section 2.
If you email us directly (for example, to ask for help), we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we use them only to respond to you and provide support.
4. The website
Our website at tendergreenstudio.com is a simple informational site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare may process standard technical information (such as IP addresses and request logs) for security and to deliver the site; this is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy terms. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on the site.
5. How we use and share information
We use the limited information described above only to operate our business: to fulfill and support your purchase. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the sale possible (such as our merchant of record and email provider), and only as needed for them to perform their function, or where required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep order and license information for as long as needed to support your purchase, honor your license, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at hello@tendergreenstudio.com and we'll respond as required by applicable law. For information held by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, you may also contact them directly.
8. Children
Chop Machine is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated version at this address.
